Claude connector

Treader, in Claude.

Treader is a free collaborative trip planner that puts every stop on one live map and checks the plan against sunset and public holidays on your dates.

Add one URL to Claude and it can reach your trips: read the plan, turn an itinerary it just wrote into a real mapped trip, and run the same trip check the app runs. Your account decides what it sees, and it can never change or delete a trip you already have.

Add the connector

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste this URL and follow the sign-in. Treader asks you to approve the connection once, and you can disconnect it from the same screen whenever you like.

Works on every Claude plan, including Free. A free Claude account can hold one custom connector.

What Claude can do once it is connected

Four tools, no more. Three of them only read. Claude decides when to call one, so ask for what you want in plain words and it will pick.

  • List your trips: names, destinations, dates, how many days and stops
  • Read one trip day by day, with the times and the opening hours Treader knows
  • Run the trip check: stops with no location, days that are too full, hours against the day you arrive, public holidays on your dates, campground booking windows opening soon
  • Make a new trip from a day-by-day itinerary, with every stop searched and placed on the map

How the sign-in works

The connector uses the same account you sign in to Treader with. Claude sends you to Treader, you approve the connection once, and Claude gets a key that only reaches your own trips. Nothing in your account is shared with anyone else, and the connection is yours to end at any time from Claude.

  • One approval screen, which names the app asking
  • Your Treader password is never given to Claude
  • Trips shared with you are readable; trips you cannot see stay invisible

The chat writes it, the map checks it

A chat itinerary is a list of names. Treader turns it into a plan with a real position for every stop, driving time between them, and the checks a language model cannot run: whether the museum is open on the Tuesday you arrive, whether your Monday is a public holiday there, and when the campground booking window opens. Ask Claude to make the trip, then ask it to check the trip.

What it costs

Connecting is free, and so is everything the connector does on a free Treader account. Pro adds road conditions and border wait times along the route inside the app, and Pro accounts get the same trips and the same checks through the connector.

Frequently asked questions

Which Claude plans can use this?

All of them. Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A free Claude account can have one custom connector at a time.

Do I need a paid Treader account?

No. The connector is free, and every tool it offers works on a free Treader account.

Can Claude change or delete my trips?

No. It can read your trips and make new ones. It cannot edit a trip you already have, delete anything, or reach your billing, your documents or your messages.

How do I disconnect it?

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and remove the Treader connector. Claude stops calling Treader at once, and the short-lived key it held expires within the hour.

Does it work with other MCP clients?

Yes. It is a standard MCP server over HTTP with OAuth, so any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol can connect to the same URL. Claude is the one we set up and test against.

A plan Claude can read, and a map that checks it.
