Is the free plan really free?
Yes. $0, forever, no card. You can plan with a friend, discover new places, plan your first trip, and use Scout to help you find what your day might be missing. Upgrade only if you want more.
What is Scout?
Scout is your AI planning partner. Ask for a rainy-day swap, a dinner spot near your last stop, or a full day sketched out, and it answers with real places that fit your trip. Pro includes 300 Scout messages a month on a smarter model.
Do my friends need to pay to plan with me?
No, joining someone else’s trip is always free. Hosting is what scales with your plan: invite one person on Free, three on Pro and ten on Discovery.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro ($4.99/mo, or $49.99/yr to save 17%) and Discovery ($9.99/mo, or $99.99/yr) cancel in a couple of clicks, and you keep access until the period ends, but you'll keep your trips, saved spots, and whatever else you've created!
What’s the $1,000 flight-claim thing?
Discovery includes passenger-rights help: if your flight is delayed or you’re bumped, it drafts the compensation claim for you, worth up to $1,000 under Canada’s air passenger protection rules.
Where does the place data come from?
Ratings, photos, hours and reviews come from Google’s live data, the same source as Google Maps, plus community spots pinned by real travellers.

The story behind Treader.
Treader was built by Logan, a photographer, vanlifer and outdoorsy guy who got tired of trips that lived as saved Instagram reels. Travel is meant to be lived, not stressed over.
It’s time to stop worrying about which hotel has complimentary breakfast, and start wondering whether you can squeeze in that hike you’ve been dreaming about. Plan less, live more, and travel with the people who matter most.
