Get better answers from Scout

Scout isn't a search box. It's a planner with live data, and like any good planner it does its best work when the brief is good. The gap between a fine answer and a great one is usually in the ask.

Ask for shapes, not listicles

"Top 10 things in Lisbon" gets you the internet. "A slow morning within walking distance of the hotel, ending somewhere with pastries" gets you a plan. Describe the feel of the time you want to fill:

• "A rainy-afternoon backup near our Tuesday stops."
• "Dinner that won't mind a stroller."
• "Swap the museum for something outdoors."
• "One proper viewpoint on the walk between lunch and the hotel."

Point it at the right ground

• Open the day first. Scout searches near the day you're viewing, so planning Thursday from Thursday is half the work.
• Name an anchor when you have one: "near the castle" beats hoping it guesses.
• Flip the location toggle when you want right-here recommendations instead of plan-adjacent ones.

Let your settings do the standing work

Treat answers as drafts

Push back like you would in a group chat: "closer to the water", "cheaper", "less touristy" all work, and the thread remembers where you were. Each day keeps its own thread, so keep a day's haggling in that day.
